SFNABA’s 2011 Post-Season Awards

On Behalf of all of SFNABA, congratulations to the following parties on their accomplishments during the 2011 season:

SFNABA's 2011 MVP Caleb Jones (and Family)

2011 MVP: Caleb Jones, Mad Dogs
.573 BA (29-53), .642 OBP, 1.075 SLG, 27 R, 30 RBI, 6 HR, 18-18 SB, 5K
Caleb plays for free in 2012!

Co-Pitchers of the Year:
Chris McNiel, Heroes
7-5 Record with 18 Appearances, 3 Saves, 91.1 IP, 2.17 ERA

Lou Gardella, Diablos
9-3 Record, 20 K game against the Titans, Wins over Isotopes & All Blacks, Over 100 IP, Over 120K, Sub 3.5 ERA
Chris and Lou will each receive a $75 credit towards league fees in 2012!

Honorable Mention:
Scott Botterman, Baysox & Rob Ellis, Benders.

Co-Managers of the Year:
Brent Weisbrod, All Blacks
All-Blacks lost 2010 Co-MVP Howie Correia and had a huge roster turnover from 2010 to 2011 (losing 10 players to the usual drop-off and a split with the At Bats). They also had a great deal of turnover during the year and were still able to win their division and reach the Ocean Conference Finals where they forced a decisive third game against the Isotopes

Kyle Peterson, Blazers
Blazers struggled a great deal in 2010. They finished at 3-17 last year (or something close to it) and rose to 10-10 in 2011, reaching the playoffs and putting up a good fight against the Tsunami in Round 1.
Brent & Kyle will each receive $75 off of League Fees for 2012.

Honorable Mention:
Jono Stoval, Isotopes
Jono continues to put a winning team on the field year after year and is perhaps the most hands-on coach in SFNABA. He instructs players on form and their approach and has a monumental impact on the ‘Topes continued success. They lost several key players for the stretch run but reached the Championship series for the 5th year in a row.

Marc Franssen, Baysox
The Baysox improved from 11-9 in 2010 to 17-3 in 2011. While they did reach the championship game in 2010, the 2011 season was much improved and they were able to defeat the 4-time defending Champion Isotopes for the 2011 title.

2011 Home Run Derby Champion:
Mike Rivera, Isotopes

2011 Skills Competition Champion:
Chas Davis, Dons

And to the Baysox, 2011 SFNABA Champions!
