SFNABA Championship Series & All-Star Festivities 2011
Hey Folks,
Congratulations to the Isotopes and to the Baysox for reaching the 2011 Finals! Come on out next weekend for some good baseball and to support the guys!
Times/Dates/Locations listed below…
Game 1: Saturday, August 27th – 4:00pm @ San Leandro Ballpark
Game 2: Saturday, August 27th – 7:30pm @ San Leandro Ballpark
Game 3: Sunday, August 28th – 10:00am @ San Leandro Ballpark (only if necessary)
Also, this year’s SFNABA All-Star ‘Weekend’ will start at 1:30pm on Sunday, August 28th at San Leandro Ballpark (yes, right after a potential game 3 @ the same location).
All Members of SFNABA are invited to enter this year’s Home-Run Derby and Skills Competitions. Entrants to both contests will be determined on a first-come first serve basis, so if you’d like to participate, sign-up lists will be posted on the back of the grandstand at San Leandro Ballpark at 1:00pm sharp on Sunday the 28th.
The Homerun Derby will start at 1:30pm. Each batter will get 10 ‘outs’. One point for hitting the wall on the fly, three points for a homer. Each batter may select his own pitcher. One full round for everyone, top three will hit again for the title.
The Skills Competition will begin shortly after the Derby and will consist of a timed round of 2 fielded balls from right, thrown accurately to third base, two fielded grounders thrown accurately to first, three thrown strikes from the mound, 2 line-drives up the middle off a tee, and one trip around the bases.
The All-Star Game itself will start around 4:00pm. ASG rosters will be posted through SFNABA’s website and social media sites later this week, so be on the lookout and make sure to send congratulations to your guys!
